Well, I was going to post the Tod/Nash Q&A answers today, but as I was formatting that blog post, my phone started beeping like crazy with Twitter messages. Evidently Harlequin Teen has posted the cover for Before I Wake. I have to admit, that caught me by surprise. Last I heard, we were going to reveal it some time in January. But we’re only a couple of days away from that, so I guess that’s pretty close. Either way, the boys and their answers will have to wait for tomorrow…
Unfortunately, I don’t yet have the final file, so I had to steal this one from HQTeen’s post. (The most recent version I have has the title font in black.) So…here it is.

Yes, it’s pink. I’m normally not a huge fan of the color pink, but I think this cover is gorgeous, and I think the bright color makes for a very striking image. I think it will truly stand out on shelves, both physical and virtual.
Before I Wake comes out June 22 in the US/Canada and some time in July in the UK. But I have no further information on foreign, digital, or audio releases.
I’m not planning to reveal the back cover blurb until around March, so those in the UK (at least) will have had a chance to read If I Die. Because the plot summary for Before I Wake is the most spoilery plot summary in the history of spoilery plot summaries. Seriously.
But I will say this: the decision to have Kaylee alone on the cover of this one was very well-thought-out. After what went down in If I Die, Kaylee is in a sort of adjustment period, during which she needs to focus on herself, at least for a little while. And if you’re familiar with Kaylee, you know just how hard that will be for her.
And if you know the Soul Screamers world, you might guess that she won’t exactly have peace and quiet while she adjusts. There’s plenty of action, plenty of friends, and plenty of…chemistry. So don’t worry about things getting dull. Kaylee doesn’t have time for dull. Ever.

I think the cover looks breath taking! Every cover for this entire series has always caught my attention. This one is sure to draw EVERY eye when it hits the stores. Congratulations Rachel on another book that’s sure to be a hit! I can’t wait to read what happens next. Hopefully Never To Sleep will keep me satisfied til then. It’s still a long wait!

Oh,WOW I love this cover!
OH MY GOD! It’s gorgeous! It’s so striking and perfect. Now I’m even more anxious (if that was even possible) to read Before I Wake.
First of all, the cover is gorgous and I’m glad they chose a bright color this time. Second, I feel so bad for Kaylee. It’s like the saying “Can’t a girl catch a break?” I mean, she’s been through the ringer. I can’t wait to read this and Never to Sleep.

This was the first thing I saw after waking from a chemically induced coma (evidently, depressants work on me even though stimulants don’t). My first thought: OHMYGOD. O.O My second thought: Wait… it’s PINK. Er… My third thought: It’s pretty anyways and super striking! *reads description* *looks at calendar* My fourth thought: WHAT?! So long until June… *collapses*
I’m not really much of a pink fan either but this cover is absolutely gorgeous! I’m excited for it to comne out I can’t wait to read it =)
Up to now I think the US readers have been getting the least impressive of the Soul Screamers covers but this one is beautiful.

I think this is my favorite cover out of the series so far. I’m a huge fan of pink and the shade of pink is amazing and stands out against the black background. Very Very Pretty. Can’t wait to get a copy in June.

I have no idea. HQTeen Australia is its own entity, so it schedules its own releases, and I’m usually the last to know.
